Originally written in May of 2018, this song was inspired by an invitation to perform at an international storytelling festival that proved to be a scam. To that end, "Four Horsemen" is dedicated to that scam artist. Whoever you are, wherever you are, this one is for you.
lyrics
"You made the deal, set out to steal, something from an innocent man
You'll never know, the ruin you sew, 'till it takes you by the hand
I won't be you play thing no more
I'm gonna settle this uneven score
Your luck turns ill, your cup will spill, your whiskey, your wine, and your beer
Lost in night, with plagues and blight, clutch your pillow while you tremble with fear
I won't be you play thing no more
I'm gonna settle this uneven score
Four horsemen, riding through the night
Vengeance is coming, a sword of righteous might
Four horsemen, before you they appear
Coming to take, all that you hold dear
Got the power, a dark tower, eternal prison for your mind and soul
You lie awake, with the lies you make, hear the thunder begin to roll
I won't be you play thing no more
I'm gonna settle this uneven score
Four horsemen, riding through the night
Vengeance is coming, a sword of righteous might
Four horsemen, before you they appear
Coming to take, all that you hold dear
Four horsemen coming down, four horsemen coming down
Four horsemen coming down, four horsemen coming down on you
They're coming to take all you hold dear
Before you they appear
Four horsemen riding through the night
They've got the sword of righteous might
Four horsemen coming down on you
Four horsemen coming down on you
Four horsemen coming down on you."
